January 13, 2012 - How could a study of Shakespeare’s Hamlet be made compelling for high school students?

The Advanced Placement English Literature and humanities classes of Bunny Akers at Warhill High School had the opportunity to do just that.  A recent guest speaker spoke to the students about the complexity of the language of Shakespeare and the nuances that made this great playwright remain part of the core of any successful English curriculum.

Gary Logan (pictured) from the Folgers Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C. was able to visit to the school recently to the delight of all the students.  It did help that his son was a part of the class.
