Outstanding Turnout for Relay for Life Golf Tournament

Stonehouse Elementary’s Relay for Life team had a very successful golf tournament at Kiskiack on Saturday, raising over $5,000 for the American Cancer Society.  Thank you to all of our supporters!

Stonehouse Celebrates Earth Day

Stonehouse celebrated Earth Day Friday April 20th. Students and staff dressed accordingly and collected 19 trash bags full of recyclable plastic bags. Thanks to all participants!

D.O.G. Street 5k A Success for Seastar Striders and Others

Saturday the Seastar Striders group represented Stonehouse in the Duke of Gloucester Street 5k Run. 59 students and 24 staff members completed the run, with everyone finishing in under an hour! Many others came to show support, everyone enjoyed themselves.

Stonehouse Wins 2012 Board of Education Excellence Award

By meeting all state and federal accountability criteria for student achievement and expanding educational opportunities, Stonehouse was among five WJCC schools to earn this year's Virginia Board of Education Excellence Award. Congratulations to all students, staff, and families for this accomplishment! Other WJCC schools recognized with this award were Clara Byrd Baker Elementary, James River Elementary, Matoaka Elementary, and Matthew Whaley Elementary.
