| The Lafayette Track Team generously donated their time and energy this spring to working with kindergarten teacher Mrs. Chantry on clearing the new Matoaka Nature Trail. It is a one mile trail that circles Matoaka and is perfect for observing the plants and animals in our local environment. | |

The Matoaka Great Computer Challenge team brought home a first place medal for Internet Scavenger Hunt and a third place medal in desktop publishing. This is the second year in a row that Matoaka has earned medals! |
