Jamestown High School curriculum offers four drama courses entitled:
Theatre I, II, III, IV - each 90 minutes in length, five days a week for one semester utilizing block scheduling.

Our audiences are appreciative of the type of productions that are presented therefore, each production sees tickets at a premium.


International Thespian Society

  • Jamestown High School is Troupe #5827

The International Thespian Society honors secondary school students for outstanding work in theatre. Membership is granted for the performance of meritorious work in theatre arts which meets the Society's general guidelines. Students acquire points through participation in at least two productions and a total of one hundred hours of work. A charter (Troupe #5827) was granted to Jamestown High School in 1998 after the performances of "Our Town" and "Brigadoon". The faculty sponsor is William Snyder.

Student Information
Open auditions for both Cast and Production Staff members for both productions are open to the entire school population of ninth through twelfth grade and are commended for excellent productions.

Stage crew
Our stage crew is composed of student volunteers with the help from several parents who work long hours in the preparation of our productions.


THEATRE ARTS PATRONS

Theatre Arts Patrons is a support group composed of theatre minded citizens of our school community who contribute time and finances toward Jamestown High School's theatre and drama projects. For more info call 259-3644.
