GED®/Adult Education program consists of the High School GED® Program, the Adult Education Program, and GED® testing.

            The High School GED® Program includes the GED® Prep, Accelerated GED® and ISAEP classes.  Students, 16-18 years of age, who are lacking at least one year of credits to graduate, are referred to this program.  Based upon the score received on the GED® Pretest determines placement in the program. 

            The Adult Education Program serves those individuals 18 years old and older who are interested in earning their high school equivalency certificate.  English as a Second Language (ESOL) classes are also offered.  A variety of class locations, dates, and times are available for classes throughout Williamsburg-James City County.

            The GED® exam is given monthly at the Educational Center at James Blair located on Ironbound Road in Williamsburg, depending upon the exam date selected.  Registration is required at least one week prior to the exam date.
