D.J. Montague Students Don Costumes To Learn About Revolutionary War

The fourth grade at D.J. Montague Elementary “fought” the American Revolution recently when they donned period costumes as part of a lesson on the Revolutionary War. Students Karissa Smith, left, and Emma Kotwick in Janet Parsons’ class are in period clothes as they prepare to recite an excerpt from Patrick Henry’s speech to convince the Colonists that it was time for the colonies to break away from Britain and be independent. A “ Theatrical License” was given to students who dressed in costume.
