Rawls Byrd, Warhill Art Entries In “Occasion For the Arts” Judged Best In Exhibition
Student art displays from Rawls Byrd Elementary School and Warhill High School, submitted for exhibit during the annual Occasion for the Arts in downtown Williamsburg, were judged the “Best In Exhibition” winners in their respective school categories. “An Occasion for the Arts,” which occurs annually the first weekend of every October, is primarily a venue for professional artist to display and sell their works. In addition to the professional artists/vendors, student artists display in groupings by school. WJCC and York County public schools are invited as well as all independent schools in the area; home-schooled students also are invited to participate. A committee of members of “An Occasion for the Arts” selects one winner for each school level.
