JHS Students Earn “Commended” Status From National Merit Scholarship Program

Pictured with Jamestown High School Principal Parke Land, left: Jacob Vaiden, Kathryn Downing, Andrew Friedrichs, Megan McClintock, John Stevenson, Rachael Sharp and Aidan Feldman have been named Commended Students in the 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program. These students placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2012 competition by taking the 2010 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). These Commended Students are recognized for their exceptional academic promise.
