Jamestown HS Seniors Perkins, Waltrip Selected For U.S. Army All-American Band
Trumpeter Stephen Perkins and bass drummer Zack Waltrip, both seniors at Jamestown High School, were recently honored at the WJCC School Board meeting for having been selected to participate in the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band. The Band recognizes the top 125 high school senior marching musicians and color guard members from across the country, showcasing their talents during the largest celebration of high school football in America, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, televised live on NBC at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7. This is the third consecutive year that at least one member of the Eagle band has been selected. For more than 11 years, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has been the nation’s premier high school football game, serving as the preeminent launching pad for America’s future college and NFL stars.
