Instructional Technology Resource Teachers Complete Technology Certification Program
Six WJCC Instructional Technology Resource Teachers (ITRTs) recently completed the PBS Capstone Technology Certification Program. This program has earned the International Society for Technology in Education alignment seal with the 2008 National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers. Those successfully completing this research-based online program receive a joint certificate from ISTE and PBS TeacherLine, certifying their mastery of ISTE's National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers.
The certification process includes reviewing examples of classroom projects that integrate technology; reading and reviewing professional articles and related resources; exchanging ideas and strategies with other program participants; sharing and reflecting on digital products that demonstrate the standards in practice in K-12 classrooms, and developing and publishing a multimedia portfolio of exemplary classroom projects.
