Clara Byrd Baker Students and Families Walk 882 Miles, Raise $11,349

The students, staff and families of Clara Byrd Baker Elementary recently raised $11,349 during the school's annual Walk-a-Thon. Students walked a total of 882 miles around the Walk-a-Thon course, with 5th graders walking the most: 225 miles. Funds raised will go toward a new sound system as well as other school programs and projects. Major sponsors of the event included AMF Bowling, Chik-Fil-A (on Mooretown Road) and the Great Wolf Lodge.
