Arts education, a vital part of the curriculum at all grade-levels is designed to transmit knowledge, skills and expand an appreciation for various cultures. Personal growth and satisfaction are acquired as students strive for quality in individual and group performance and production. All schools offer art, instrumental, and vocal music instruction through an approved curriculum. Instruction in stringed instruments is currently offered in grades 5- 12.
Each school participates in Fine Arts Festival Activities throughout the year to showcase students in all grades in the visual and performing arts. Numerous partnerships with region, community and civic organizations exist to promote the arts in the WJCC schools. The City of Williamsburg has provided funding to support the Fine Arts Festival for the current year.
