Williamsburg, VA. —For the first time ever, the Williamsburg/James City County School Division has earned a place among the top 10 school divisions in Virginia for preparing their students to enter the workforce through its industrial certification testing program, according to new figures released by the Virginia State Department of Education (VDOE).
A total of 392 W-JCC Career Technical Education (CTE) students earned industry certifications through a series of rigorous industry examinations and assessments. Students earned certifications in a variety of fields, including technology, retail trades, early childhood preparation, drafting, pre-engineering, and automotive.
