Procedure for Complaints

Expressions of concerns or complaints regarding any routine matter are welcome when done in a constructive manner.

The WJC School Board encourages that concerns or complaints be addressed and resolved at the most appropriate supervisory level at the location where the problem arose.

Students or parents who believe that decisions made by staff members that may not be in their best interest may present their perspectives to teachers or school administrators who shall make themselves available in order to discuss these matters.

In the event that a concern or complaint previously presented to a member of the school staff has not been satisfactorily resolved, the student or parent may request a meeting of the student, parent, and administrator. At the conclusion of the meeting the administrator will inform the parent of the status of the decision either verbally or in writing.
