The WJCC PTA Council serves as a place for all WJCC PTA units, the WJCC School Division and the WJCC Education Association to discuss issues of common interest. More broadly, the purpose of the Williamsburg James City County Council of Parent-Teacher Associations in common with those of the Virginia PTA and the National PTA are:
- To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
- To raise the standards of home life.
- To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
- To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
- To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
The WJCC PTA Council typically meets the 3rd Monday of each month during the school year at 7pm. For specific information regarding meeting dates and location please contact any of the above listed officers.
