With the arrival of winter comes the ever-present possibility of inclement weather and possible delays or closure of school, depending on its severity. We Recycle!!!!

On Friday, October 28th, Clara Byrd Baker Elementary School students and staff walked 882 miles and raised over $11,300 to support their school. We will be using the funds to purchase a new sound system and fund teacher grants that enrich learning and provide support for students in music, technology, academics, and the arts. We had tremendous community support from our sponsors AMF Bowling, Chick-fil-A on Mooretown Road, Great Wolf Lodge, Ben & Jerry's, Domino's Pizza, Sweet Frog, Target, Philly Pretzel Factory, Newport News Shipyard, Bounce House, Brusters, Williamsburg General Store, Wallace's Trading Post, the Virginia Zoo, the Virginia Living Museum, the Science Museum of Virginia, the Children's Museum of Richmond, School Crossing, Canon, Ripley's Believe It or Not, Cracker Barrel, UVA football, CNU basketball, Mrs. Field's Cookies, the Norfolk Tides, the Virginia Aquarium, and JMU basketball.
